As 2017 draws to a close, I would like to take a little look back over the last 12 months.
It’s easy to overlook our achievements as we rush through our busy lives. We strive constantly to reach the next goal without really appreciating the things that we have done.
At the beginning of 2017, I chose a word for the year; something to read and keep me focused on my goals.
My word was achieve.
I made a list of my goals and everything I wanted to achieve in the year ahead.
If I hadn’t paused to reflect on things, I may have missed that this year among other things I have:
- launched my range of Wildlife embroidery templates
- been asked to be a guest blogger for a fabulous little company called Small Baby UK
- continued with my design work behind the scenes
- blogged every week for the whole of 2017
- managed to build a brand new website!
I think I lived up to my word choice and I’m very happy with the results of all my hard work.
I hope you like the new website and the blog. It has definitely been a labour of love putting it all together and I’m excited to see where my journey will take me in 2018.
I would like to express my sincere thanks for your continued support of Gaynor Marshall Designs, it really does mean the world to me.
The year ahead
It’s now time to focus on the coming year and I hope you will join me as I continue on my creative journey.
I’m lucky to do what I love every day and I can’t wait for all of the adventures ahead.
Enjoy the celebrations tonight, and I hope 2018 is peaceful, happy and prosperous for us all!
Until next year…
