This week, I’m sharing a review of some very cute printable colouring pages from Lady Lucas.
Ashley, aka Lady Lucas, creates beautiful, whimsical characters who live in a sweet little place called Linzer Lane. Her simple designs are perfect for little ones to colour as they are not too complicated. You can follow the adventures of your favourite characters over on the Linzer Lane blog too!
There are single pages to choose from as well as novelty colouring books, and everything is available for instant download. They make perfect party favours or simple party activities. The wedding collection would make a good choice for a craft activity at a wedding reception to keep the little ones entertained.
My Choices
I chose a selection of 3 designs to play with…erm…test; the Halloween colouring page, the Wedding colouring page and the Paper Cat Doll
Remembering My Childhood
The Zoe paper doll took me right back to being a little girl. Zoe is a very cute little character and she has a sewing machine too, how cool is that?
The different pieces were fairly easy to cut out and with a little guidance should be achievable for younger children.
The Just Married page would be an unusual keepsake for a little one to present to the Bride and Groom, maybe in a simple frame.
Last but not least was the Halloween page.
This was a lot of fun to colour because of all the tiny details. I got quite engrossed with it and spent a thoroughly enjoyable half hour with my water-colour paints.
Lady Lucas: Not Just For Children
I would say that colouring in is something that most of us remember fondly from our childhoods. However, over the last couple of years there has also been an explosion in the adult sector, with the focus being on relaxation and mindfulness.
Lady Lucas has designed a range aimed especially at the young at heart among us, with examples such as her Vegetarian Colouring Book among her best sellers in her Etsy shop.
You can find out more about Lady Lucas and Linzer Lane by following her social media accounts: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Until next time…
